Tuesday, October 11, 2016, 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM CDT
Category: Non-TPA Sponsored Events

PRESENTATION DESCRIPTION
Unfortunately, not every surgical wound heals without complication and obstetric wounds occur during the course of deliveries. OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of the presentation, the participants should be able to:

  • Differentiate between wound care incorporated as part of the global surgical package or global OB package and services separately billable
  • Summarize differences in wound repair coding between Medicare and other third party payers
  • Apply modifiers and use appropriate ICD-10-CM diagnoses to successfully report complications unique to genitourinary and obstetrical wound repairs and related services
  • Implement concepts learned by completing case studies presented

COST - $25
